While the air show is in town someone vandalizes the world's last functioning B-24 bomber. The plane's preservation society hires Jake and Malachy to track down the offender and protect the plane during the rest of its stay in St. John's.
The investigation comes to a head on a flight over St. John's when Jake and Mal confront one of their fellow passengers - who then pulls out a gun. Sadly, the suspect ends up falling out of the open bomb bay doors.
Leslie, not surprisingly, is suspicious of the fact that yet another criminal suspect died near the Doyles. Fortunately the plane's pilots are able to corroborate the Doyles' story and they are released from policy custody.
